Positiv Skateboards, Spread the Love Tour. Jaipur India 2012

Back in 2012, Fresh off a first-place vert finish at X Games Asia in Shanghai, skate legend  Andy Macdonald took a trip around the world as he skated through Colorado, California, Denmark, India and South Africa.

Andy led a crew of athletes through multiple cities in India as part of the Positiv Skateboards "Spread the Love" [STL] tour, organized by Mountain Dew as an attempt to introduce the sport of skateboarding in India. This was the first time for Andy Macdonald along with 9 other renowned athletes performing at the Vidhyadhar Nagar stadium, in Jaipur in May 2012.

Promoting action sports in India at the time were world renowned skaters Andy Macdonald, Eito Yasutoko, Takeshi Yasutoko, Sandro Dias; BMX star Simon Tabron, FMX guys Jimmie McGuire, Tommy Clowers, Dustin Nowak, Myles Richmond and Mike Mason. 

The team of the athletes performed skateboarding, roller blade, bicycle stunts bmx inline, free style motocross and many other adventurous actions on a 10 feet high ramp. The action sports legends performed in Bengaluru, Noida, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Lucknow. 
The project was a continuation of sorts of a trip Macdonald took to Mumbai in late 2011 as part of the Tony Hawk and Friends skate demo. Below is a video of Andy MacDonald and Mitchie Brusco, who decide to skateboard after a Tony Hawk and Friends autograph session outside of Quiksilver Mumbai.

Andy Macdonald is one of skateboarding’s best

and most skilled professionals, known to millions of skateboarders all over the world as Andy Mac. He is one of the best-known professional vert skateboarders today. Andy’s versatile style and tremendous experience allows him to excel in street skating, skateparks, vert, pools and big air ramps.
Andy Mac has been crowned as skateboarding’s World Champion for nine years in the World Cup Skateboarding Series. He has competed in every X Games since its inception and owns 23 medals. Known for his clean image, Andy has made many high profile TV appearances in recent years, promoting a positive lifestyle and skateboarding. On the Tonight Show, Andy surprised everyone by ollieing onto Jay Leno's desk after being introduced also he was the first person to ever ride a skateboard down the smooth marble hallways inside the White House.

Positiv Skateboards

Macdonald created Positiv Skateboards in 1997 to bring to focus the many positive aspects of skateboarding. It falls under the scope of the Skate One Corporation, the banner under which Powell Skateboards and Bones Bearings fall. The Positiv team is a small faction consisting of Macdonald, Rodney Jones, Sandro Dias and Fabrizio Santos.
